ONLINE STORE & MARKET CLOSED… FOR NOW!

Owning and running Wholefood Harvest has been an incredible journey, affording great relationships with growers, a deep understanding of the food system, an explosion of friendships, tremendous personal growth. We are unsure of what the future looks like for our family and business at this point.

We are ever passionate about developing and maintaining local food systems, and bringing great produce to those in our local area. And to be very clear, we don’t have a food shortage issue in Australia, we have a logistics issue. The logistics network is failing as we are reminded with Scotts Refrigerated Logistics recent bankruptcy. Farmers are struggling to get pickers, the average age of farmers is 60, and not valued as a career option, and most consumers tend not to value the real cost of quality fresh produce.

And the list goes on. Local food is the future.

I’m confident we as a family and as a business are not finished in this area, just simply taking a pause to reflect on our values, priorities ensuing intentions in an ever changing world. Give us a few months to regroup and come back with news on our evolution.

Please continue to support Nicki Csiszar and Cherree of Greenlight Pantry (bulk and personal goods) as they both prematurely reimagine how their businesses look. We will communicate here and on our socials into the future.

In deep gratitude, We are taking a pause to reflect on the needs of our family and the community and we look forwards to reconnecting with you in the coming months.

Mel and Glenn
